About the role

The Communication and Information Systems Assistant provides technical support and service reporting to the Head of CIS, assists in problem and incident management, deploys and maintains IT systems, and supports telecommunication systems within the EUCAP Somalia mission.

Education

Secondary education diploma plus professional training or certification in CIS related field

Skills

  • Knowledge in current Microsoft Windows client operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues
  • Knowledge of wired and wireless networks (LAN, WAN) (desirable)
  • Knowledge of current Windows Server operating systems (desirable)
  • Practical knowledge in supporting users on Microsoft Office 365 (desirable)
  • Experience with radio communications systems, satellite communication, positioning/navigation technologies (desirable)
  • Experience with metadata-driven Document Management Systems, workflow design and workspace visualisation (desirable)
