About the role
The Head of Programme will operate with a high degree of independence, manage junior staff, and provide support to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs. The role involves technical support, strategy development, partnership building, and monitoring and evaluation.
Education
Advanced University degree in relevant field or First University degree with additional experience
Skills
- Experience in the field with ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good writing and presentation skills in English; reports and policy document writing skills.
- Experience utilizing computers including Word processing, Excel spreadsheet and other WFP standard software packages and systems.
- Guiding teams, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- General knowledge of UN systems and policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing administration.
