About the role
The role of the Nutrition Assistant is to provide technical assistance in breast feeding awareness, managing the crowd by giving clear instructions. Responsibilities include leading group education sessions for mothers and carers of children under 2, assessing mothers and their children to identify specific feeding support needs, providing 1:1 breastfeeding counselling, referring children for intensive nutritional/medical care, keeping a register of mothers and children, managing crowd control within OTP, and monitoring that sugar water is provided to all patients.
Education
Completion of Secondary School or diploma or equivalent
