About the role
Support the Reproductive Health Manager in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of community-based reproductive health programs, with a focus on Female Community Health Workers (FCHWs). Provide technical assistance, ensure effective coordination, and contribute to quality service delivery in line with SRCS health policy.
Education
BS in Midwife, Medicine, Nursing and post-graduate qualifications or equivalent professional practice in Public Health, Community Health are added value.
Skills
- Strong integrity and commitment to Red Cross/Red Crescent principles.
- Strong understanding of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH).
- Familiarity with family planning methods, antenatal/postnatal care, and safe delivery practices.
- Knowledge of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) case management and referral pathways.
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor community health programs.
- Skilled in developing work plans and activity schedules.
- Experience with donor reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in health information systems and digital data collection tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical and report-writing skills.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting health indicators and trends.
- Capacity to produce evidence-based recommendations for program improvement.
- Expertise in mobilizing communities around reproductive health issues.
- Ability to build trust and foster collaboration with local leaders, women’s groups, and youth networks.
- Skilled in culturally sensitive communication and advocacy.
- Experience in developing training curricula for health workers.
- Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to support FCHWs and clinic staff.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and participatory learning sessions.
- Strong networking skills to engage with NGOs, agencies, and health authorities.
- Ability to represent SRCS in technical working groups and coordination forums.
- Skilled in building strategic alliances for resource mobilization.
- Knowledge of reproductive health in emergencies (RHiE) standards.
- Ability to adapt services during crises such as displacement, epidemics, or conflict.
- Skilled in rapid assessment and response planning.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- High emotional intelligence and resilience under pressure.
- Clear, persuasive communication in Somali and English.
