About the role
The Security Officer contributes to the security and safety of WFP operations in Kismayo, supporting contingency planning, liaising with UNDSS, ensuring MOSS/MORSS compliance, managing security equipment and budget, and providing security briefings and training.
Education
Advanced University degree in Security Management, International Relations, Law Enforcement or other relevant field, OR First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training.
Skills
- Good theoretical understanding of security management concepts and principles.
- Ability to assimilate information and make basic analyses.
- Good communication skills and ability to adapt communication style.
- Ability to deliver effective briefing and training.
- Knowledge of common business principles and processes.
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
